Allergies and Sensitivities Amongst Us
Finding the difference between allergies and sensitivities proved to be more difficult than expected. The symptoms are often quite similar and the two categories frequently overlap. This causes a lot of confusion. On top of that, the terms are often used interchangeably. Basically, an allergy is a type of sensitivity, but a sensitivity is not necessarily an allergy.
It depends on how the body responds to a trigger as to whether or not it is classified as an allergy.
An allergy is an overreaction of a person's immune system to a substance that is normally harmless. A true allergy involves antibodies that cause tissue mast cells to release histamines. The most common allergy symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, blood in stools, eczema, hives, skin rashes, wheezing and a runny nose.
A sensitivity is a person's abnormal response to a substance. It has a broader scope than the category of "allergies." It includes allergies, but also includes the additional categories of
food sensitivities and
chemical sensitivities.
The following links are meant to provide a resource to turn to for identifying possible allergies or sensitivities through
muscle testing. Once an allergy or sensitivity is identified then it is easy to apply
"The Emotion Code" to release trapped emotions associated with the allergy or sensitivity.
Please do not take this to be a substitute for proper medical care. All serious conditions should refer to their personal licensed physician.

Allergies and Essential Oils
Stories of those who have used essential oils for allergies
Possibilities for use with allergies are: German chamomile, Wintergreen, Lavender, Roman Chamomile
Blends: Harmony, Valor, Juva Cleanse
I have a friend who, years ago when she lived here, had severe allergies and she was only able to tolerate one drop of Lavender on the bottom of one foot to start with. It helped her quite a bit so she increased to one drop on each foot. She was gradually able to tolerate more over time.
