Amputation Reflexology Question

by Kelley White
(Idaho)

Actually I have a question. I have recently started learning reflexology and am really enjoying it. My question is. I am a below knee amputee on the right leg. Does anyone have any information on what I should be doing when it is a right foot reflex point? Should I just use the hand? Or should I try to find reflex points in my residual limb? Would love some feedback!

Thanks
Kelley

Reflex for the amputuee Kelly White
by: Teresa

Hi Kelly,
I am a LMT and Footzone therapist. (Like reflexology). What I have found to be true is that even though the PHYSICAL foot is gone, the SPIRITUAL foot is 'still there'. I have done the zone movements over bandages and casts, and the receiver has still felt the energy. You can imagine the points on the right foot in your mind, and see your spiritual hands holding the reflex points and it will be as if the physical foot and all of it's points are being worked on. I hope you can "tune in" while doing that and actually feel the energy and healing.
