I have always had an interest in health subjects. My college degree was
in animal health. Helping others, whether animals or people has been
one of the desires of my life. I suppose that is why I was open to
learning when the opportunity arose.
The Beginning of the Journey
In March of 2000 information passed through my hands from my mother to
me to be given to one of my brothers. Included in this information was
an audio cassette about Young Living essential oils.
This was a tape similar to The Missing Link. |
I listened to this tape out of curiosity as I really did not even know what essential oils were. When finished listening I was blown away with amazement. I thought that if even half of what I had heard was true then I wanted to know more.
Without telling my mother (as I did not want to have her go overboard talking to me about it), I ordered one oil - Lavender - to give it a try. With excitement and anticipation on the day that it arrived, I asked my family members (hopefulness in my voice that I am not sure was appreciated!) if they had a headache.
My sister, who was a full-time middle school teacher at the time and was
living with us replied that yes, she did. I asked if we could use the
lavender and she was very willing to give it a try. We rubbed a few
drops on the back of her neck and in a few moments her headache had
subsided almost completely.
This experience, along with a couple of other headache-easing experiences convinced me that I needed to try other oils.
From there I purchased an Essential 7 kit and I started experimenting.
This was the beginning of a fantastic and wondrous world of learning
that continues even now. What fun it has been!
Early on I attended workshops about chemistry and the oils. I learned
about the energy of the body and how oils work with the body's energy.
This led to questions about the energy systems of the body and the aura.
I bought books and expanded my reading into many new areas. Many of these books are listed in the recommended reading section. Each book has added new understanding or a new perspective.
My desire has been to gather truth and I am thrilled with the abundance
of truth I have assimilated.
Through workshops that I attended, I was introduced to reflexology and the vita-flex technique. I thoroughly enjoy working with these techniques.
The areas of EFT, The Emotion Code, the Body Code, the Healing Code, and Zpoint Process along with the connection between emotional issues and physical conditions are areas that I learned on my own through reading and just doing.
I continue on with learning. Books are my university for learning. I
attend various workshops as I am able to. I feel strongly that the
information and learning that has been poured out upon us from a divine
source is meant for our time to help us through our challenges. The
desire to share what I have learned is what motivated me to start a
website. I want others to be aware of the information and resources
available.
Do I have all the answers? I have some. It's a case of "The more you learn, the more you realize there is so much more to learn." The answers I do have I am anxious to share with you both as a practitioner offering sessions and in helping you to find your own answers. Do I think that you can
find your own answers? Absolutely!! I believe that the resources are
available for everyone to find their own answers. That is my intent -
to provide and direct you to excellent resources so that you can find
answers.
My best wishes in your own healing and learning journey.
Sincerely,
Vicki Winterton

I grew up in Richland, Washington where I spent my childhood traipsing
the sage-brush-covered hills and playing in the canal behind my home.
It was a good place to grow up with my 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I had
parents who cared deeply for us and to whom I am very grateful.
While in my last year of high school I worked for a local veterinarian after school hours and during summer. I then left home in 1980 to pursue a degree in Animal Health at Brigham Young University. It
was there where I met my future husband Paul.
After two years of
college I served for 18 months on an LDS church mission to Denmark and then
returned to BYU. In between my third and fourth college years Paul and I
were married. The following year we both graduated with bachelor
degrees. My
degree was a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Health. Although I loved my studies I did nothing with this
degree for many years as my top priority was raising a family.
In the fall of 2004, much to my surprise, I found myself applying for and
getting hired to work part-time as a veterinary technician. I was
surprised because it had been many years and I did not think I would
ever be able to work in that field again. I worked as a veterinary
technician part-time for nearly 10 years.
As I started doing more and more sessions with clients it became difficult for me to keep up with my job at the vet clinic and do sessions too so ... in the spring of 2014 I quit my job as a vet tech. It was a job I loved, but I am now doing something I love as well and that is helping people and pets to heal through energy work.
Unfortunately, in the fall of 2018 it became necessary for my marriage to end after 33 years.
Currently, I live in the state of Utah. I live in a beautiful valley tucked in the mountains. Every day is an awe-inspiring view as I look around.
I have four daughters who are married (Yeah! I have sons in the family and I couldn’t ask for better ones) and now have 4 granddaughters and 3 grandsons who bring me a huge amount of joy. Yes, being a grandparent is every bit as fun as everyone says it is!
